Bistro Kino, Lund

Bistro Kino has opened its doors at one of Lund's coziest addresses – a place where food, environment, and materials interact in perfect balance. Even when we first stepped into the premises, we felt that this would be something special. The interior (and the service!) is warm, soft, and playful. Nothing is contrived, yet everything comes together.

The team behind it confidently selected a rather eclectic mix of plates and bowls in both glass and stoneware. Matte and glossy surfaces are alternated, colors range between natural earth tones and deep hues – a kind of well-balanced disorder that makes each table setting vibrant and inviting – and feels so natural!

It's a table setting that isn't afraid to take up space, yet remains on the right side of harmonious. The porcelain is chosen to elevate the food, enhance the atmosphere of the room, and create a memorable experience that feels both natural and well-considered.

For us at Norling Studio, these are precisely the types of projects we love – where every material choice plays a role and where the beauty lies in the overall impression, not in everything being exactly the same. Kino Bistron shows that it doesn't have to be rigid to be beautiful – and that a lively table setting is just as important as the menu.
